The viscosity depends on the temperature; if a hydraulic system is started with low temperature, the viscosity of the hydraulic oil is higher than with operating temperature. The result is an increased amount of friction and cavitation on pumps and motors, resulting in an earlier wear of the components and a reduction of the service life of the entire system.
