Bookpoint is a leading book distributor within the UK, processing more than 6 million returned books per year from their customers. The scope of supply for ECS was to provide a system of product destruction and material handling for these returns.

ECS manufactured a bespoke heavy duty conveyor with a feed hopper suitable for the use with the on site tipper skips. The conveyor controls are integrated in to the system to provide consistent feed to the shredder which sits above the automatic baling press. The baler then produces dense bales of shredded paper for onward transportation to a paper mill.

As with all our clients, detailed layout drawings were provided to Bookpoint in order to assist with their preparation for any civil works required.
