Established in 2005 as an independent subsidiary of Smiths News, The Returns Company handles book returns from retailers and manufacturers.

The requirement was to provide secure product destruction for these returns and recover the recyclable material. In this case an AXO WM1020 Shredder was combined with an Anis Trend ATS110.75M Baling Press.

The automatic book scanning system at TRC directs selected books to the shredder for destruction. Since completion, TRC has seen vast improvements in both productivity and cost reduction.
